Iranian Forces State Strike on US Base in Bahrain, During Regional Military Operations.

Plumes of black smoke were seen rising near an area proximate to the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet.

Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed operations throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a significant and ongoing attack against it by the US and Israel.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an area near the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The extent of any impact is unclear and the United States has remained silent.

Airspace Engagements

In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - each hosting US military bases - stated they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.

In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the Middle East.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement it was targeting US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the offensive on the Islamic Republic launched by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.

That US-Israeli operation - executed at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck areas associated with the Tehran's leadership, with US President Donald Trump urging the Iranian people to rise up against the government.

Additional Developments

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The defence ministry of the UAE announced that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems engaged the missiles with great effectiveness and destroyed a number of missiles," the statement continued.

It said missile fragments landed in a residential area in the capital, causing some material damage and the death of one civilian.

The United States Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
