Mohamed Salah Offers Regret to Liverpool Dressing Room, Says Curtis Jones
Curtis Jones has disclosed that Salah said sorry to the entire Liverpool squad in the wake of the controversy from his televised remarks.
What Happened
He was omitted from a key Champions League match following voicing frustrations and claiming his relationship with manager had deteriorated.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I'm sorry.’”
The head coach has refused to reveal on whether he was apologised to from the veteran striker.
Moving Forward
The player stated that the dressing room atmosphere remained positive. “He was the exact same Mo, his demeanour was positive and everybody was exactly the same with him,” Jones added.
He also implied that a player's desire to start is a positive trait. “It's clear there are specific approaches you can go about things,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just be on the bench, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
Positive Results
Their results have been impressive in the period after the situation. He feels the outburst were not intended to cause disruption.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, the source has been from a place of caring,” the midfielder stated. “It's behind us and we’re uniting strongly, performing and securing victories.”
