Trump's Family Member Seeks Expert Advice from Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA Debut
This young athlete boasts substantial social media audience
Kai Trump can count on numerous prominent supporters as she makes her professional golf debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
The former president, an avid golfer, operates several golf courses and regularly competes against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we have competitive games," she mentioned.
Kai explained that Trump, who won't be present, told her: "Just don't get nervous."
"My grandpa basically told me to go out there and enjoy myself," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He's not attending this weekend. He's occupied with running the country, making him somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, Kai has participated in a mere three competitions in 2024 and has position 461 in AJGA listings.
But she can get advice from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with her mother.
"He stands as the top athlete globally," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's an even better individual. He suggested me to play, enjoy myself, adapting to the flow."
Kai will face multiple top competitors in women's golf at this tournament, such as second-ranked the champion, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to wider groups, specifically among the next generation.
Kai boasts a massive following and recently launched her own apparel and wellness brand.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
